Winery Review: "Fresh, focused and taut, with firm tannins around a lively core of blueberry, currant and mocha flavors, persisting against the texture. Drink now through 2017. 25,000 cases made.?H.S." Wine Spectator (August 31st 2013), 88 Points
My Review: At first glance I saw another dark red wine, however upon further examination I began to see a medium purple. I immediately picked up on aromas such as a tinder bundle, cherry, wild flowers, and a deep berry mix. The taste was a heavy raspberry, almost like a gusher oozing flavor into my mouth. I tasted some cherry and earthy tones as well. A really good wine, didn't dry my mouth out. I liked the richness of the raspberry taste, and experienced a mid-palate for the first time with this wine. Gratifying.
The wine was tasted on it's own with no food.
